I still don't understand why anything should be worth more than 100 plat.
The fact that there is a maximum storage capacity for coin will at least put some ceiling to the inflation of prices
Allowing inflation like that to go on will scare away new players within days. Combine this with the army of pre-searing scammers and we have big problem.
So i use my second account and a second computer to hang around with a char in pre-searing monitoring local chat while i play my main account. Trying to educate new players as i see their confusion or if i see obvious attempts at scamming.
Yesterday there was a sale that needed some newbie education. SELLING RARE GREEN DYE. Normal price 2k, i sell for only 800g.
Turned out to be a mixed dye, so i explained in local chat that it is not rare at all, that green dye is not that expensive, and that the mixed variant might be worth the 800g advertised depending on the perception of the buyer regarding the resulting color.

Oh I agree really, they opened up a whole can of worms when they allowed players to have 1000 plat in the vault instead of 100 plat, then the max anything could sell for would have been 200k. But, A-Net in their unwise wisdom now allows the inflation to climb even more by allowing more plat to be stored and thus more plat to be demanded for an item. It would have kept ebayers down to a minimum also, I don't understand A-Nets philosophy behind that move at all. It's like they are supporting ebayers/botters instead of stopping them.
